The Selection Process
Family Interviews
Primary & Secondary School Students
Families in need are referred to IHEI by the administrators of the schools and engagement with the community. The student is interviewed with a family member who is usually the parent, guardian or an older sibling.

Some families are more difficult to locate. Nevertheless, if a student is referred for sponsorship, every effort is made to meet the family and interact with the child/children in the homes. Report cards are also evaluated for average and above academic performance.
Family Information Meeting
Primary and Secondary Levels
Parents are invited to attend a general meeting with their selected student(s). This presents an opportunity for the parents to connect with the program manager and group leaders.
